The Walnut Shell is a portrait of the migratory situation of the beginning of the 21st century, told in the first person by the protagonist. It is a novel of profound human sensitivity, shedding a little light on the sad socio-economic-cultural reality which part of the world’s population is forced to confront because of the effects of short-sighted and insensitive policies, leading to the immense suffering of those affected. It is also a love story. Love between people. Love for our unknown fellow human-beings.
